After seventeen years of experience in training and program management, Saleem Jahangir has established his niche as an adroit trainer. His expertise in conceptualizing, conducting and evaluating projects for community leadership and activism; enterprise development; and human and institutional development, advocating gender inclusive roles, spearheading peace and education initiatives across Pakistan, has won him the appreciation from all quarters of development sector. Saleem has received international exposure through participation in global forums for discussion of development issues on a broader scale.
Director Admin & Finance
By virtue of his role as Director Admin & Finance, Shahid is one of the most influential people at ECI with 13 years of professional experience to his credit. He possesses prolific financial and administrative management skills. Also handles all matters financial and practical, procurement, from budgetary allocations, to supervising arrangements and financials of the on-going projects, to giving a go-ahead for organizing training events and recreational activities. Simply put, nothing can get done till it bears a seal from Shahid.
Director Client Relations
Anum, Director Client Relations, developed her skill over the years starting her journey young. Initially a Research Analyst, she made her mark at ECI as a Business Development Executive where she was responsible for bringing in business and making sure all transactions are carried out in an efficient manner. She has been involved in proposal design, curriculum design and has actively taken on client relations. She is the one who call the shots in communications department. Hardworking and determined, Anum always accomplishes everything she sets out to do. Having gained hands-on experience and exposure, she has groomed and enhanced her capabilities. She is an integral team-member who exhibits great camaraderie.
Bakhtyar has been engaged with community based projects, training roll-outs, project implementation, curriculum design and development for various projects. Needless to say Bakhtyar is always on the go. His docile yet interactive nature coupled with a special interest in different languages renders him an adroit trainer with the ability to communicate with participants from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds and has experience working in urban centers as well as remote areas of interior Sindh. He enjoys the exposure and brings back both success stories and souvenirs from the field.
With more than 10 years of invaluable experience in the development sector, Rabia is a Professional Trainer, program/project manager, and an expert on Gender, Violence, Sexual Harassment, Mental Health and Life Skills. With sound knowledge and practical experience of Gender & Violence programs, Sexual Harassment, Life Skills etc, she successfully coordinated and conducted numerous trainings and made a number of modules. She is one of the few experts who are working on very sensitive topics being a female herself. Her recent experience includes working with Plan Pakistan, in which she was responsible for making the content and conducting 3-days TOT on Life Skills based Education catering different age groups. She is a competent trainer and content specialist possessing result oriented frame of mind which gives her an edge over the others. Commitment and motivation to work are her core values, in-short she is a reliable asset who can be trusted upon.
Tehmeena has traveled a long way at ECI, progressing and embracing each opportunity and turning it to a milestone achievement. Taking off as a receptionist, making her way into the program unit, she is involved in database entry, filing and documentation, thereby earning herself the post of Program Assistant. Building on her capacity, Tehmeena engaged in program implementation tasks and activities; facilitating training roll-out plans, responsible for coordination with trainers and mentors, invitation and confirmation of participants and organizing raw data coming in from the field. Her drive and willingness to learn earned her yet another promotion and now Tehmeena, Program Officer, has added curriculum design and development to her professional portfolio. She is an important information source, one who definitely needs to be cloned to enhance organizational efficiency.
Program Officer – Trainings
There is nothing that Naeem cannot reach and no deadline that he cannot meet. He has progressed over the years to fine tune his organizational skills; starting from maintaining hard and soft resource libraries, he handles and processes and organizes raw data coming in from the field, before it goes out to various clients. Naeem is actively involved in organizing and coordinating large training roll-outs for ECI. Additionally, he is involved in assisting the curriculum design team for various projects.
Forming her base with a Business degree, Sakina went on to explore the Social Sciences and got her Masters degree in Gender Studies. The latter provided her with a deep insight into gender relations and developed her interest in the development sector. Armed with a keen interest in reading and writing, she has developed her content management skills over the years, which have become her core strength. She has a highly detail-oriented approach to her work and a strong desire to bring a positive change in the society.
Sr. Graphic Designer
Adnan is the creative mastermind behind ECI’s colourful, pictorial material. As a Senior Graphics Designer in the CDC he specializes in developing logos and innovative designs for curricula and communication material. He also has a special affinity for the ECI “official” colours, which are duly incorporated wherever possible. Adnan’s graphic genius is skillfully exhibited in all the training and reference materials and manuals produced by ECI. Needless to say, the graphics team is one of the busiest. Adnan heads a team which strives to make every produced item at ECI, pleasing to the eyes!
Salman joined ECI as part of the Graphics team. He brings with him years of experience and a different panache of creative design. Salman is always seen playing around with designs and colours evolving new patterns for training materials and curricula. Salman has the drive to build on his skill and the knack of furnishing his peers with his wit.
Rauf has become an expert in managing periodic cash transactions and paying and receiving bills for the organization. He has excellent communication skills when it comes to dealing with banks and vendors. In addition, he possesses extensive software and statistics knowledge, allowing him to analyze large amounts of data and organizing information in a concise and consistent manner.
Front Desk Officer
With past work experience in the field of Procurement & Warehousing, Usman joined the ECI team as a Program Assistant. His expertise lies in database management, website development and server management. He has the ability to establish a strong grasp on his work responsibilities in a short period of time and work amicably with his team members. A man of few words, he devotes his full attention to the task at hand and ensures that he gets the work done on time.
The youngest member of the team, Waqas is a happy-go-lucky person who keeps everyone’s spirits high with his cheerful chatter throughout the day. He is highly punctual and ensures that everyone’s day begins on time and they stay alert and focused on their work with a strong cup of tea by their side. He is also an important contributing member in activities related to material printing, dispatch and filing and exudes positive energy while performing any task assigned to him.
