Good Governance & Institutional Strengthening

Capacitating the staff of public and private institutions on rudiments of transparent resource management, effective decision-making and other aspects of organizational development by adopting a bottom-up approach for structural strengthening, ECI is working on ‘Good Governance’ strengthening the capacity of elected representatives, promoting a vibrant, diverse & independent government, thus translating commitment into action. In order to fulfill the objectives of propagating good governance and strengthening institutions, ECI capitalizes upon its specialization in designing strategic training programs that translate complex concepts into training material for different audiences spanning micro-meso-macro levels.

We work with non-literate to semi-literate persons at the grassroots all the way up to government functionaries including ministers and senior-level bureaucrats.

Fundamental & Legal Rights, Legal System & Procedures and Laws related to Women and Child Rights” Under the project of Improved Access to Fair, Legitimate & Effective Justice in Pakistan - SAFWCO

Empowerment thru Creative Integration (ECI) Pvt. Ltd. was contracted by SAFWCO for three 3-Days Trainings of Trainers on “Improved Access to Fair, Legitimate & Effective Justice in Pakistan” for Baikhtiar groups in 3 districts of Sindh.

Methodology and Innovations:

  • The trainings equipped baikhtiar groups with knowledge about:
  • Basic fundamental, property and minorities’ rights in the light of constitution.
  • Judicial system of Pakistan and different sources of adr.
  • Lodging a fir and other basic procedures of police department.
  • Laws related to rights of women and children
Tabeer - Facilitating Election Commission of Pakistan for Electoral Staff Trainings (ToMTs) - DAI

To play a part in smooth electoral process of 2018 General Elections, ECI designed and implemented “Tabeer” with DAI for Facilitating Election Commission of Pakistan for Electoral Staff Trainings (ToMTs). ECI designed and delivered trainings and orientations for ROs, DROs, TROs, POs, APOs, Senior APOs.

Tabeer Se Tameer Tak: Raise Voice Today to Invest in Tomorrow - PYAP

Under the Pakistan Youth Advocacy Project, ECI provided its consultancy services for mainstreaming youth voices in the political manifesto development process.

 

Location: Nationwide
Target Audience: Youth from 29 institutes all across Pakistan
Number of Beneficiaries: 3807

Methodology and Innovations:

  • Large-scale research was conducted that included:
  • 57 group discussions
  • 7 FGDs
  • 7 seminars
  • Online survey was also conducted for 3807 youth from all over Pakistan.
  • The research findings helped political stakeholders in finalization of their political manifestos
  • Training workshops for youth activists on the topics:
  • Policy Making Process
  • Effective Communication in Assembly Sessions
  • 17 lobbying meetings were held with political leaders from 05 major parties.
Institutional Development Training of Farmers Milk Cooperatives - PYAP

Under the Pakistan Youth Advocacy Project, ECI provided its consultancy services for mainstreaming youth voices in the political manifesto development process.

Enhancing Capacity of Female, Youth Labour and Minorities Elected and Accountable Democratic System - USAID

Under the USAIDs Citizen Voice project (CVP) Cycle 10, ECI was conducted trainings with targeted beneficiaries in order to enhance the capacity of elected representatives and strengthening citizens.

Methodology and Innovations:

  • 123 01-Day Trainings for three tiers:
    • District Councilors
    • Tehsil Councilors
    • Village/Neighborhood Nazims and Naib Nazims, Village/Neighborhood Councilors (male and female)
  • The trainees were trained on three modules designed specifically for their respective tier of LG.
    • LG Laws, Structure and Functions
    • Resource Management and Transparent Budgeting
    • Participatory Planning
Development of Comprehensive Training module for Trainers, Handbook for Trainers and Rollout of Training of Trainers (ToT) - BRSP

 

BRSP implemented the “Balochistan Community Development Program” which aimed to improve the local government system by enhancing the capacity of elected representatives.

Financial Education Program - Pakistan Microfinance Network

In order to increase the awareness of clients and potential clients of microfinance providers in  Pakistan who integrated within the credit reporting framework; ECI conducted a gap analysis, designed a detailed program, including developing training modules/material and other associated components for financial literacy program, aimed at clients, and potential clients, of microfinance providers in Pakistan.
